What is the Hawk and Bros Owners Network (HBON)?

The Hawk GT / BROS UK Owner's Network (HBON) was officially setup in 1998 by Steve Beatty who was aware of the Hawk GT's popularity in the States where it was officially imported by Honda. The Hawk GT's popularity in the States began in 1989 when Kevin Erion, formally of Two Brothers Racing, won the AMA Pro-Twins Modified Production Class, beating the Ducatis in it's first year out. The bike is still raced in the States today although mostly at the club level now.

I am Jolyon Goodman, and when Steve left for Germany early in July 2000 I took over the running of HBON. Mainly based on the internet we send out between 3 and 4 news letters each year. The Newsletter contains information such as members experiences at events, bike modifications, trouble shooting, frequently asked questions, discounts at various outlets, and what's being organised in the future. The key factor with HBON is that it is an Owners Network and not a Club. This means that the owners are encouraged to add input to the Newletter and Events to make HBON work. It also enables the owners to obtain data on the Hawk GT / Bros which otherwise is difficult to find.

We currently have about 100 members mainly based all over the UK, but also some in Eire and Europe.
